Dear Volunteers,
I am extremely sorry that I am breaking the diktat of not speaking to anyone outside on what transpired in the National Executive meeting, yesterday. Generally, I am a disciplined soldier of the party.
Arvind used to say that when they were coming out of the joint draft committee meeting of the Lokpal in 2011, Kapil Sibal used to ask them not to reveal anything to the outside world. Arvind used to answer that it was his primary duty to inform the nation about the proceedings, as he was not a leader but a representative of the people. Truth and transparency was all that he had.
My presence in the National Executive is only as a representative of the volunteers. And I would be dishonest to accept the gag order. The volunteers cannot be removed from the equation; they are the source of the party. Rather than get information from selective leaks and stray statements, I have decided to give some factual details of the meeting in the public domain.
Last night I was told that disciplinary action would be taken against me, if I revealed anything. So be it – my first allegiance is to the higher truth. Here is an essence of the meeting with regards to removal of YY and PB, based on my understanding. I would request NE to release the minutes of the meeting.
Short background
During the Delhi campaign, Prashant Bhushan had threatened multiple times that he will hold press conference against the party, because of his concerns on candidate selection. Some of us were successful in somehow or other to stave off the threat till the elections. It was alleged that Yogendra Yadav was conspiring against Arvind and some evidences were produced. There were also operational irreconcilable differences and trust deficit between AK, PB and YY
On 26th Feb night when members of the NE went to meet him, Arvind conveyed that he will not be able to work as Convenor, if these two members were part of the PAC. That was the background of the NE on 4th March.
NE meeting
Yogendra said that he understood that Arvind did not want them in PAC, as it was difficult to him to work together. He and Prashant would be happy to stay out of PAC, but they should not be singled out. Two formulas were put forward by him.
· That the PAC be reconstituted and new PAC members be elected through voting. PB and YY will not put their candidature.
· That PAC continue to function in the present form and YY and PB would not attend any of the meetings.
The meeting broke for some time and Manish and others conferred with the Delhi team of Ashish Khetan, Asutosh, Dilip Pandey and others. After reassembling, Manish proposed a resolution that YY and PB be removed from the PAC and it was seconded by Sanjay Singh.
I abstained to vote, because of two contrary reasons
1. Arvind needs a smooth working in the PAC. So, I agreed that PB and YY may be out of PAC and take some alternate important roles.
2. I was taken aback by the resolution of removing them publicly, especially as they themselves were willing to leave.Also, this decision to sack them was against the overwhelming sentiments of volunteers from all over the world.
So, while I agreed that they can step down from the PAC, the manner and intention behind the resolution was not acceptable. Hence, the decision to abstain.
The other details may come when the minutes of meeting is released.
This is not a revolt, nor is this some publicity ploy. I will not go to the press. There may be some repercussions overt and covert against me. So be it.

Thanks for your act of courage Mayank. Is the story of Orwell's Animal Farm in its new version is getting unfolded in AAP? It seems what Napoleon did to Snowball in Animal Farm is what AK and his cronies have done to YY and PB. Saddened by the happenings in AAP. Does not augur well for the party.

The last time when he could not manage the situation, Arvind quit CM's post. Now he is running away to Bangalore. I tell you, he is a runaway kid. Cannot stand intense competition. Sorry, dont know much about the whole issue and didn't even read your blog, but I just thought I'd put in my "contribution" - Do watch the movie "Lincoln". Sometimes you do have to take some steps to achieve your goals that may not always be in everyone's interest. Good Luck and hope you people will not lose sight of the real goal.

As an external observer of AAP functioning without having much facts, the behavior of AK and the way events unfolded with YY and PB being removed indicate failure of LEADERSHIP of AK... Change makers take everyone along and win over even the most difficult opponents coz you cannot bring about change without the support of your team.. The fault lines are now drawn 8-11... AK sulks like a baby, Delhi is not his virasat but a huge responsibility given by people...The secret game plan of AK seems to be to Reduce the space for Cong and eventually merge with BJP... Death nail on AAP's Coffin. When friends used to tell AK is big drama i used to fight with them. Thanks thats it's out after one State ,India saved. We don't want another Jaya,Lalu,Mulyam or Maya. You are great for coming out, but you should also have voted. AAP is not built by few people in NE, it was built by volunteers and consensus should have brought before doing this step.
Highly disappointed with recent happenings and the manner in which YY/PB are removed. All my hopes and expectations as a volunteer and donor for the party are dashed to ground. I feel cheated to have put my trust and faith in the party.
The entire drama is to deny YY & PB Rajya Sabha seat, and give it to Ashish Khaitan or Ashutosh or even Rajdeep Sardesai.

My faith in AK and AAP's core group has dwindled after knowing that it was AK who decided he couldnt be the convenor if YY and PB are part of it. AK should remember that India needs them all. His hurried and guerrilla activism and also YY and PB's sane voices and insistence on transparency.

AAP party leaders can at best be described as immature leaders or foolish to the core (Excuse me for that). I feel if people really want to keep voicing their free opinions as and how they please ...it is best to dilute the party completely and everyone start to work on their own individual capacity. Thank you for giving us the insight. We were bombarded with bits and pieces of media bytes. Though I live in Switzerland, I have been a regular donor and have contributed with the AAP IT team during the LS Elections. Currently associated with Bombat Bengaluru. The Rift in the party which I believed represented my view has let me down. I am saddened to see the power struggle. AK said during his election campaign that it is "Shivji ki barat", means there are people from many different beliefs. Why is everything happening our in public?? Why is AAP twitter handle being used to to air AK's views? For us volunteers to make up our mind it was not AK alone. It was YY, PB, Meera, Mayank, Adarsh, Prof.Anand etc. We volunteers have to mature to the fact that all these faces are cogs in the wheel not the wheel itself. AK has disappointed by hiding and coming in open.

1.Do you have any doubts about Arvind of his capability & capacity to be convenor of AAP.
2. Do you think, AAP will be able to do better minus Arvind.

4. Do you think after becoming a CM of Delhi, Arvind have gone mad & considering himself as VVIP of AAP.

I had the honor and pleasure of coordinating volunteers for both, YY's Gurgaon election and AK's South Benaras LS constituency, besides doing booth management training for Punjab candidates in Ludhiana, Sangrur and Khadoor Sahib. Like thousands of other volunteers I campaigned and contributed in every which way in Delhi Elections. In the last one year i have been out on the road for six months, away from my family and other responsibilities supporting some ideals and principles represented by people like YY and AK (or so I thought.)
I am not telling you all the above information to promote myself in any manner. I just want to know what do I tell those hundreds of volunteer friends whom I coordinated in these elections.They call me and ask me whats gone wrong with the people they epitomized. They want some answers and none are coming forth. Are we going to remain a Delhi Centric Party!!!Any dissenting voice is to be silenced!!! Where is the structure through which volunteers find a representation and have a say in the affairs of the party Or are volunteers to be simply used and discarded?
During the 49 day Delhi Government AK asked people if he should form a government. Why were the volunteers, which every so called leader proclaims are the backbone of AAP, were not consulted before this momentous decision. Ousting two respected leaders by publicly humiliating them by voting them out of PAC when they were ready to make room for AK shows the dictatorial direction AAP is headed towards like other political parties of this nation.
Seems like all our hard work was for nothing. If no amends are made soon, AAP as envisioned by founders and cherished by volunteers, will be buried by the founders and the epitaph would read "This Great political experiment had the seed of its destruction planted and nurtured by the petty egos of its founders. AAP RIP"
I think you all are damaging your party by speaking against each other. I am an AAP donor and supporter and I don't support the party for PB ,YY or you. I supported and voted for Kejriwal. During Lok Sabha elections my contribution was a lot and it all went down the drain but I believed when Kejriwal appealed again for support though this time the contribution was just one third and he did not disappoint. His team in Delhi did great work and came with a thumping majority. A political party without seats has no ground and now that you have that, why are you not letting him work in peace. To me it seems like you all want to contest elections and have a grouse against AK as he wants to concentrate on Delhi. If you take out AK I am sorry I would never contribute a paisa and never can back people like PB, YY and you as you all are damaging your own party. Who needs enemies when they have colleagues like you, PB and YY. We surely would never vote for any of you.

I was 100% sure that AK will do such things even prior to such happenings because his personality and character openly reflects. I do not know why and how AAP cadres, PB/YY/MG etc. trust this group. There is no place of idealism and sacrifice under AK leadership. Party leadership should not be given in such hands and let them be CM etc. Sorry but it is bitter and truth.

You have donated AK to earn money for yourself that when he will be in power, person like you will reap benefit. You were not for any idealism here. Read Mayank's blog again where he says that AK is the main conspirator. Small and crooked person like AK, Manish and Co. can not face fire like Prashant. The person who used to say that he will not use big cars, big bunglaw or lives in Kutia in Varanasi is not a simple person and is basically dishonest and dramatist and making fool innocent party worker, cadre and public and we should think seriously to get rid of shady people whoever may be or they should amend their way. Every one in UP knows that during Lok Sabha election, it was alleged that some very senior member AAP Party is distributing tickets by taking CASH and later on proxy of Sanjay Singh, that poor lady was sacked from the Party. These people have worked only just 2 years in public life and their honesty is yet to be tested because we have seen many communist party members even 15-20 years of honest public life, they became corrupt. Very less time is there. If Kejriwal does not try to correct the situation then AAP will become another SP or BSP. He needs to do the following:
1. Reconstitute the PAC, remove uneducated morons from it like Sanjay Singh, Navin Jaihind. Remove chamchas like sisodia and khetan.
2. Bring back YY and PB. And make PB the Convener of the party and YY the vice president.

My Questions to you n All is that why to have fuss over governance ..which can b resolved by All AAPians themselves by creating a data structures of Volunteers n active volunteers which will bring swaraj in our party
Finally being an active volunteer since 18 months..I would be available in framing n structuring a formula called " STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES' (SOPs) for structuring of party's hierarchy , PACs, n selections criteria for candidates for fighting elections or being nominated as ministry will be on Merits....Everything will come under our SOPs designed n formulated by AAP PARIVAAR..

If donations have not come in, it means 2 things
1) Donors are not happy about the ouster of PB & YY

AK had done the drama of asking people in 2013 as he wanted to be in power but not knowing how to take U turn on his earlier statement of not taking support from Congress/BJP.Now he has full majority. He does not need volunteers for next 5 years. He only needs chamchas and he has got in plenty.
I was always pushing my self to support him as I was always skeptical about his policies and actions. I continued supporting him,though with far less vigour after Feb.,2014.The only reason that I was still supporting him because, I felt that AAP is a better alternative to others. Now I cannot continue to fool my self any longer and have decided to keep a distance from this opportunist leadership. I shall review my position,if there is change in leadership for the better.

I do have the answers to most of your queries.You may or may not agree. However,let me answer the last question that PB has already replied. PB threatened to expose AAP before the elections,but did not act as he wanted to put pressure on AK to act but not harm AAP.
Please do not forget that the issues have not been raised only by PB and YY,but by Admiral Ramdas.Why AK is not responding when he says that Internal Lokpal is supreme.
Thank you Mayank Ji for your courage to reveal the facts. PB is one of the most respected lawyers in the Supreme Court of India with outstanding personality. He is a philanthropist with a clean image who uses his time for the benefit of the people. I personally know him and I am trying to shape my personality like him. Everybody knows that allegation against PB and YY is planned by those who have bad intention to utilize the party for personal benefit.Most of the "YES BOSS" associates of AK joined the party after they understood that they can get benefited. They are behind the planning to remove YY and PB. After few years these "YES BOSS" associates will throw out even AK.
Now the loss is for Crores of AAP supports who are waiting for complete transformation in India.
Lets hope that the differences will be solved.

Mayank, I am reminded of Sudershan's short story "Haar ki Jeet". The story this time is very different but the essence is same.
While Baba Bharti wanted to hide Kharagsingh's truth, NE wants you to hide "its" truth, probably out of fear that if the truth comes out some of us will NEVER EVER be able to trust people who we believed were our HEROES.

These are my 2c and few questions if I can ask so.
1. PB dint have time for Delhi election as he was busy now he has all the time in the world for TV interviews interesting.
2. Dint SB actually supporting opponent KB during election time, very interesting.
3. Is YY bit touchy when it comes to Haryana in-charge and had already resigned if one remembers, interesting.
4. MG probably you are also bit touchy when it comes to MH as with your blogs, interesting...
What I fail to understand is when 67/3 mandate is given and you have decided that AK is CM and NC then you need to support and concentrate on ful filling the promise.
Now these 1, 2 -8 people are going to create a mockery in the name of internal democracy when the fact indicate they are pushing their own personal agenda.
Request to give a moment and join the dots it would make sense.
In-fact if we think clearly the opposite might be true. PB,SB, YY, MG... have right for their views.
If we go by their own principle it is in minority. Unless they are able to convenience the majority they need to follow what majority says.
Instead they choose to go out and try to prove a point. When needed these people half heatedly stood by side as their point was not taken and now want to scored brownie points using term as democracy etc... then they them self fail to follow?
This does not add up.
MG dont give this BS they you do for country etc... You are just doing for yourself.

Some people are saying debate 'indoors' and stay united outside. But they are forgetting the fact that the debate for inside the party is being crushed by people like Sisodi, Khetan, Sanjay Singh. That is why it makes sense to debate outisde. We should get away with the age old foolish worship of leader as practiced by Congress,BJP, SP, BSP, DMK and AIDMK. You need to always speak your mind and not try to keep Kejriwal happy for petty gains. Kejriwal should realize that having a inner coterie of chamchas is going to harm the party and if it continues AAP will betray the trust of lakhs of members who have worked hard for the party and the party would eventually bite the dust.

Looks like paid writers of Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh and other gang members have suddenly become active on Mayank's blog and writing negatively. Well, best of luck because it does not work. 99% of the volunteers and members are against the 'inner coterie' of Kejriwalji. Hope Kejriwalji dissuades and removes the inner coterie around him who are doing more harm to the party than the opposition. Listen to the dissenting voices and try to set things right in the party.
Urgent meeting of Volunteers should be called and they should elect NE & PAC. Swaraj should start from Party itself.

If Kejriwal does not correct the situation by listening to internal Lokpal what is left for the people who had high hopes on anti-corruption movement? If the cronies of Kejriwal themselves are morally and socially corrupt what is the difference between them and other parties? If Kejriwal does not correct the situation by apoligizing to Prashant and Yogendra and dismantling his inner coterie, then I suggest either he should be kicked out of party or a new party be made which does not have lust for power by compromising the ideals of anti-corruption.

There is supposed to be difference between AAP and other Parties when it comes to Morality, Corruption issues, Politics, Administration. There are a minority of people who in their lives did not indulge in corruption nor made compromises. And those people are still suffering to sustain their families, unable to afford a own home AND frequent transfers because the administration does not want such HONEST people BUT the ones who make compromises and indulge in corruption morally and financially. AAP was the LAST HOPE to SAVE OUR COUNTRY. BUT seeing Kejriwal himself MORALLY CORRUPT as proved by the TAPES is very SHAMEFUL. For people who say IT IS OK need to know that such political game does not last long. And there is no difference between Kejriwal and others if he continues his dirty politics. Still there is hope if he apologizes to PB and YY and reconstitutes the PAC and moves away from ONE MAN party to a broad based leadership. And it is high time his cronies are kicked out of the party as we had enough of KING and SUBJECTS mindset in political parties.

Friends ! we must not take hasty decisions as have been taken in PAC. We must wait sometime to get all the explanations from both sides. Remember, AAP is not made in a single day and a lot of people have contributed to bring it to its current position. We must also remeber that we are not herd of goats of AK, YY, PB or even Mayank Ji. Let everybody say whatever he has to say. Only then analyze and sort for facts. Then only decide. We must support the side which is following AAP principles. Whatever has been done with YY & PB is really very unfortunate. In my opinion, both of them are important pillars of the party. But hasty decision will make us to regret again. It seems that YY, PB are on correct path but a chance must be given to AK and group to put their reasons to members and volunteers. We have not listened anything from AK yet. We must force him to explain all these things in details. But we must stand united and support the group who believes in SWARAJ and follow it's principles as we members are not power hungry bunch and we wish a better India. This way, I am sure, we can keep the principles for which we have supported APP.

I would only like to know the other side of things.. How to imagine Arvind and Manish to be working like this? ..Is it Ego.. is it revenge? ..YY and PB are they saints? All this makes Arvind a villain.. so I wonder is he really.. can u please share if you find it? ..the real reason.. and Why this spat was not solved internally? ..Why YY and PB had to hold press conference as they had threatened earlier? ..why go public? ..was party forum not enough?
Is it just the thought that its going to be one man party that is driving the rivals? ..I think its wrong.. when somebody has won the party a major election it fought..why instead of appreciating they want him to resign.. why its not done next year (the proposal to remove Arvind as convenor) ..why no cooling period.. was this necessary now? ..when things began to settle down..
